Cream/Choc/Gold Wedding

If you want something a bit different from the usual wedding invitation colours then this is a great modern colour scheme for you to use that has a real luxury look. This design is easy to produce in bulk quantities and looks very professional too.

Cream, Chocolate & Gold Wedding Card

Items you will need to make this card:

  1. Small Square (120mm x 120mm) Pale Cream Card Blank
  2. Pearlised ivory/cream card
  3. A4 Mulberry Tissue Paper – Brown
  4. A4 plain paper such as ordinary printer paper
  5. Woodware Super Lever Craft Punch – Square
  6. Woodware Big Lever Craft Punch – Square
  7. Woodware Large Lever Craft Punch – Square
  8. Small Hearts – Gold
  9. “Yellow Gold” Wedding Rings
  10. Wedding Invitation Banner
  11. Strong Craft Glue
  12. Sticky Foam Pads

Directions:

Take the pearlised ivory card and punch out two super squares, two big squares and two large squares using the three square craft punches.

Place the sheet of brown mulberry tissue paper in between two sheets of plain paper and then punch out two squares again of each of the three punches sizes. Placing the tissue paper between two sheets of paper allows you to punch cleanly through the tissue paper without it tearing as it is too thin to punch through on it’s own.

Using craft glue layer the squares on top of each other so you end up with four sets of three layered squares, two starting and ending with ivory card sandwiching brown mulberry tissue paper and two starting and ending with brown mulberry tissue paper sandwiching ivory card.

Stick these four square layers to the card blank spaced as shown in the picture ensuring you leave a gap at the bottom of the card for the banner.

Use craft glue to stick a small gold heart to the centre of the top left and bottom right squares.

Link two pairs of the split “yellow gold” wedding ring embellishments together, close the gap on each ring and use a strong craft glue to carefully stick one pair to the centre of the top right squares and the second pair to the centre of the bottom left squares. Take care to turn the join on each ring so it is hidden under the edge of the other ring. You will need to use a strong craft glue to ensure the rings attach properly and leave the card flat while the glue dries.

To finish each card off, use sticky foam pads to stick a Wedding Invitation banner to the bottom of the card. The banner shown in the picture is a cream with chocolate writing banner which is no longer available but the design works just as well with a cream banner with gold writing on it.

You can also make Evening Invitation cards to match by simply using an Evening invitation banner.
