Daffodil Decoupage Card

Decoupage really gives a card project depth, the 3D layers on these daffodils really make them jump out from the card surface. Whilst this card is lovely for any occasion, the daffodil design makes it an ideal Easter card. Next to the completed card below is an image of the actual decoupage sheet used.

Daffodil decoupage card Tulip / Daffodil / Daisy Trios Decoupage Sheet

What you will need to make this card:

  1. A6 Cream Oval Aperture Card Blank
  2. Tulip / Daffodil / Daisy Trios Decoupage Sheet for the daffodils (sheet pictured above right).
  3. Mid Green Mulberry Tissue Paper
  4. Classic Corners Peel Off Sheet – Gold
  5. Double sided sticky tape, craft glue and sticky foam pads or silicon glue
  6. Decoupage Scissors

How to make:

Cut a rectangle from the mid green mulberry tissue paper and use double sided sticky tape to secure it to the back of the oval aperture.

Next fold the left hand side of the card blank over the back of the aperture and secure this in place with double sided sticky tape.

Use the decoupage scissors to carefully cut out all of the daffodil sections.

Stick the bottom layer of the daffodils onto the oval aperture, the tips of the petals and leaves will overlap the edges of the aperture slightly in places.

Use sticky foam pads or silicon glue to stick all of the remaining daffodil layers in place.

To complete the card apply a corner from the gold classic corners peel off sheet to each of the four corners of the card blank.

Useful tips for this project:

  1. When you cut the daffodil sections out, you can lightly pencil in numbers on the back of each section to make it easier to match them up again later.
  2. Use felt tip pens of the same colour as the decoupage sections to carefully colour the white side edges of the paper as this ensures there are no white bits showing on the finished card.
  3. Allow each peel off sticker corner to relax for a minute or so before applying to the card, this will allow it to regain its shape if it has stretched at all when it was peeled away from the backing sheet.
